Presentation

The Groupe de Réflexion sur les Maladies Métaboliques et les Obésités (GRESMO) (Working Group on Metabolic Diseases and Obesity) aims to raise the visibility of information on obesity in the Île‑de‑France region among both the general public and healthcare professionals. Its actions cover prevention, early identification, awareness‑raising, professional training and coordination of care pathways.

Context and challenges

GRESMO has developed a comprehensive obesity prevention programme for socially vulnerable young people aged 18 to 30. The programme combines individual consultations with group workshops focusing on physical activity and nutrition.

Two main challenges have emerged in the implementation of this programme: recruiting young participants and sustaining their engagement over time.

With the support of a team of social psychologists from Hajime AI, GRESMO is running an experimental project designed to address these two challenges.

Partnership with the APRIL Foundation

The APRIL Foundation supports this project by contributing to the deployment of three recruitment approaches, including:

• Targeted social media campaigns;

• Gamification strategies to encourage participation and commitment;

• The creation of a community to strengthen motivation and engagement.
